300 Papers Submitted to Int’l Interdisciplinary Quranic Studies Conference

TEHRAN (IQNA) – 300 papers have been submitted to the international conference on interdisciplinary Quranic studies planned to be held on March 6 to 8 in Tehran, an official said.

Zahra Naqizadeh, deputy of the Iranian Academics’ Quranic Activities Organization, said that the organization will hold the conference with the participation of eminent scholars and intellectuals from Iran and other countries.

She added that the papers submitted to the secretariat of the conference have been evaluated and the top works will be published in scholarly journals.

Naqizadeh noted that Quran and health is the main theme of the conference, which aims to highlight the necessity of making use of Quranic teachings in the field of health. 

The Center for Coordination and Development of Research and Higher Quranic Education, Ministry of Science, Research and Technology, Ministry of Health and Medical Education, Quran TV channel and Tehran Municipality will cooperate in holding the conference.

Mohd Abbas Abdul Razak, Yohan Kurniawan and Israr Ahmad Khan, Professors at International Islamic University of Malaysia, and Sanaullah Ansari, Professor at Islamabad University, are among the members of the conference's scientific committee.
