The program was organized by the Astan’s Dar-ol-Quran Kareem center on Thursday, May 18.
According to the website of the Astan, Ala Muhsin, the director of the center, said Falah Zalif, who was the runner-up in Iran’s 34th International Quran Competition, was among those honored at Thursday’s event.
The other one, he said, was Muhammad Abdul Shahid al-Baqer who came third in the recitation category of the second international Quran competition for the visually-impaired.
The competition was held in the Iranian capital in late April.
Tehran also hosted three other major international Quran competitions, including those for women and school students.
More than 270 Quran activists from 83 countries took part in the Quranic events.
