According to the Quran TV’s public relations office, the meeting took place at the end of Malaysia’s 59th international Quran competition, which is annually organized by Jakim.
In the meeting Mohammadzadeh thanked the organizers of the competition.
He also invited the head of Jakim to pay a visit to Iran and called for more interaction between the two sides.
Mohammadzadeh also met with a 13-year-old Egyptian Qari who was the youngest participants in the Quran contest.
A total of 91 Quran reciters and memorizers from 49 countries attended the international Quran competition.
The six-day Quranic event was held in Kuala Lumpur’s Putra Jaya World Trade Center.
Iran’s Hamed Alizadeh bagged the first prize in the contest’s recitation category.
