Islamic Calligraphy Exhibition Underway in Dubai

TEHRAN (IQNA) – An exhibition of Islamic and Arabic calligraphy is underway in Dubai, the UAE, on the sidelines of the 21st edition of the Dubai International Holy Quran Award.

According to Quran.gov.ae, the Dubai International Holy Quran Award committee has organized the exhibition in cooperation with the city’s Association of Culture and Arts. 

The Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry is hosting the Quranic arts exhibition on the sidelines of the international Quran competition.

It was opened in a ceremony with the participation of Sa’eed Abdullah Harib, the deputy of the committee who represented Ibrahim bumilha, head of the committee and advisor to the ruler of Dubai in cultural and human affairs, and Sa’eed Nabude, the director of the association.

Nabuda in an address said that the exhibition features the history of Arabic calligraphy as well as Islamic arts and illuminations used in writing Quran.

The 21st edition of the Dubai International Holy Quran Award (DIHQA) started on the first day of the holy month of Ramadan and will last till the 19th day of the month.
