The Sheikh of the Georgian Muslims Department, Haji Ramin Igidov, said the ten mosques are in the country’s west.
"The number of mosques administered by the Department has reached 160. However, there are still registration problems with 11 mosques in the east and west of Georgia,” he said.
"In the absence of registration documents, there are difficulties in providing them with public services. It is expected that the existing problems will be solved.”
There are 320 mosques in Georgia.
Georgia is a country at the intersection of Europe and Asia.
Muslims constitute over ten percent of the country’s total population.
