TEHRAN (IQNA) – A scholarly seminar titled “Quran Memorizers, Pioneers of Husseini Movement” was held in Hindiya city of Karbala Province, Iraq.

According to alkafeel.net, it was organized by the Dar-ol-Quran Center of the Astan (custodianship) of Hazrat Abbas (AS) holy shrine.

The program was attended by a number of religious, social and academic figures as well as students of the Quran Institute of the holy shrine in Hindiya.

The Imam Hussein (AS) Guest House hosted the seminar, which was addressed by Allamah Seyyed Rashid Husseini, an eminent scholar of the Najaf Islamic Seminary.

The program began with the recitation of Quranic verses by Yusuf Fatlawi, a top Iraqi Qari, and continued with a speech by the scholar who clarified the meaning of the verse 13 of Surah Kahf.

Allamah Husseini stressed that the Quran and Etrat are two inseparable principles of Islam and highlighted the role of Quranic teachings in the uprising of Imam Hussein (AS).

The scholar also appreciated the efforts of the institute in supporting the Quranic talents of the region and disseminating the Quranic culture among the youth.

The institute has organized various courses, seminars and Quranic-scientific sessions and conducted Quranic projects in different parts of Iraq and some other countries.
