The Quranic courses organized by the religious affairs department have been welcomed by the city’s women.
They attend the classes along with their children to learn the Quran as well as some religious teachings, according to Ilkha.com website.
Rukiye Keskin, one of the teachers, said the women mostly did not have the opportunity to learn the Quran when they were children and teenagers.
They are now making up for that by joining their children in the Quran classes, she added.
They wish they had started learning the Quran much earlier in their life, she went on to say.
