Speaking at a press conference in Tehran on Monday, Abdol Hadi Feqhizadeh said most of the institutes, which have carried out outstanding Quranic activities, are expected to take part in the exhibition.
He added that invitations have also been sent to 26 prominent Quranic figures from 7 countries, including Iraq, Russia, Turkey and Malaysia, to attend the international event.
The 26th edition of the Tehran International Holy Quran Exhibition is slated to be held from May 19 to June 4 at the Imam Khomeini (RA) Mosalla (prayer hall) in the Iranian capital.
Feqhizadeh described the exhibition as the greatest program held in the Muslim world with the theme of Quran.
He said it is also a great national festival that belongs to the entire Iranian nation and includes various sections including Quranic activities, international, arts, women, and children.
He said 15 ministries and government bodies, 32 grassroots Quranic institutes, 16 universities and 15 seminaries will cooperate in holding the expo.
The expo is annually organized by the culture ministry during the holy month of Ramadan.
It is aimed at promoting Quranic concepts and developing Quranic activities.
The expo showcases the latest Quranic achievements in the country as well as a variety of products dedicated to the promotion of the Holy Book.
This year, some 20,000 square meters of exhibition area will be used at the Mosalla to showcase Quranic products, according to Feqhizadeh.
