Over 200 Students of Holy Quran memorization Centers Honored in Qatar

TEHRAN (IQNA) – Qatar’s Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs honored the students of the Holy Quran memorization centers in an annual ceremony held in Doha.

  

The ceremony, held recently in the presence of a number of the ministry’s officials, supervisors of centers and students’ parents, honored 226 students, including 70 students from different nationalities who completed in memorizing the entire Holy Quran during the past year along with 9 Qatari students.

In addition, 37 Qatari students were honored for completing classes of the Holy Quran and 110 others who presented outstanding performance in the preparatory stage according to the curriculum of the Quranic centers affiliated to the ministry, the Peninsula reported.

The value of the awards presented to the honorees this year reached nearly half a million Qatari riyals.

Mal Allah Al Jaber, Director of the Department of Da’wah and Religious Guidance, praised the efforts made by the Quranic centers during the past year, which resulted in the graduation of a number of memorizers of the Holy Quran and the achievement of advanced positions in international Quranic competitions.
