Head of Iran’s State Welfare Organization, which annually organizes the contest, named members of the council on Sunday.
The competition is planned to be held in the spring of 2019.
Enhancing unity and solidarity among the visually-impaired in the Muslim world, providing a venue for cultural and scientific exchanges among them, promotion of the Quranic culture and teachings, and encouraging the visually-impaired to learn the Quran and attend Quranic activities are among the objectives of the event.
The 3rd international Quran competition for the visually-impaired was held in Tehran in April along with several other international Quranic events, including the 35th edition of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s International Quran Competition.
