Six Iraqi Security Personnel, Three Civilians Killed in Daesh Attack North of Baghdad

TEHRAN (IQNA) – Six Iraqi security personnel and three civilians were killed on Saturday in an ambush attack conducted by the Daesh terrorist group.

Police and local officials said the attack occurred 200 kilometers north of Baghdad, where a roadside bomb hit a car, TRT World reported.

The rescue team of policemen and Popular Mobilization Unit (PMU) forces who arrived at the scene were then ambushed by Daesh terrorists who started firing on them.

Daesh has not claimed responsibility for the attack yet.

However, the mayor of the city and police have ascertained that the ambush was the work of Daesh.
