TEHRAN (IQNA) – Being ungrateful to God removes peace in one’s life and destroys blessings.

Family

In family, rights of each member of the family should be observed but it would be better for man and women to enhance their married life through forgiveness and forbearance.

God says in Verse 112 of Surah An-Nahl: “Allah strikes a parable of the village which was safe and peaceful. Its provisions came in abundance from everywhere; but it was thankless for the favors of Allah. Therefore, for what they were doing, Allah let it taste the garment of hunger and fear.”

This verse apparently does not have to do with the family but it is actually an example about ungratefulness, stressing that if one is thankless, his peace will turn into fear and problems.

God says in Verse 156 of Surah Al-A’araf: My mercy encompasses all things. I shall grant mercy to those who maintain piety, pay their religious tax, and those who have faith in Our revelations.”

God has referred to friendship and kindness as two factors contributing to the strength of the family. Every family in which there is more kindness is closer to the goal of creation, and every family in which there is more quarreling is farther from divine mercy.

One of the factors drawing divine mercy from the viewpoint of the Quran is having children, especially girls. It has been said that children should spread the wings of divine mercy under the feet of parents. Hence there are more children, especially girls, in a family, the more divine mercy is attracted to the family.
