Hajj Pilgrimage A Treasured Journey
The Hajj is no simple and ordinary journey. It is the manifestation of Islam.
Islam has three formats: It is the Quran in the form of words, it is (the perfect) human in the form of Imams, and it is action in the form of Hajj.
Every time we reflect on this spiritual journey we find out new points about it.
The Holy Ka’aba is a flag under which we should gather and chant the anthem of Tawheed (monotheism). There we remember both history and the Resurrection Day.
A look at the views of Mecca interprets the Quran for us. Doesn’t the Quran say “the Truth comes and falsehood will be gone”? Where are the likes of Abu Jahl who wanted to kill the Holy Prophet (PBUH) and prevent his message from spreading?
In Hajj there is surprising order. Pilgrims do the ritual in certain areas, at a certain time in a certain direction and with a certain purpose.

Hajj is performed based on the lunar Hijri calendar and, therefore, it sometimes comes in winter and sometimes in summer. The Hajj pilgrims should have no fear of the cold in winter and the heat in summer.
Hajj is a manifestation of Verse 50 of Surah Al-Adhariyat: “"Seek refuge in God.”
When we perform Salah, we get detached from material things for a few moments. In fasting that lasts for a few hours and in Hajj for a few days.
Hajj is the manifestation of Verse 99 of Surah Saffat: “I will go to my Lord; He will guide me.”

Moving on the path of God and performing the Hajj rituals must be under the supervision of a scholar and based on the Fatwas (edicts) of a source of emulation. So before embarking on the Hajj journey, we should make sure our Salah is performed accurately. We should determine our source of emulation and pay the necessary religious financial obligations so that we would have no problem in this spiritual journey.
Self-sacrifice, observing moral principles, helping others, praying and contemplating a lot, and paying close attention to the manners of pilgrimage are important in this spiritual trip.
