Scholars of Different Faiths Underline Love for Prophet Muhammad at Najaf Forum

IQNA – Scholars of different religions attended a gathering at the holy shrine of Imam Ali (AS) in Najaf, Iraq, on Saturday, marking the birth anniversary of the Holy prophet (PBUH).

The scholars stressed their love for the last messenger of God, according to the website of the Astan (custodianship) of the holy shrine. 

They also underscored the importance of promoting the Holy Prophet’s (PBUH) teachings and values in order to spread peace and fraternity among people.

Naba al-Himami head of the Islamic Research and Teachings, affiliated to the Astan, said the gathering was part of the programs of the Sadiqayn World Week, that was held for the second year on the occasion of the birth anniversaries of the Prophet (PBUH) and Imam Sadiq (AS).

He said representatives from different religions and Islamic schools of thought from Iraq and other countries took part in the programs.

Al-Himami added that the participation of scholars and followers of different faiths at the event shows that the love for Ahl-ul-Bayt (AS) brings all people together regardless of their differences.
