Led by the head of the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization’s (ICRO) International Quran and Propagation Center Hojat-ol-Islam Seyed Mostafa Hosseini Neyshabouri, the delegation has traveled to the Southeast Asian country to identify Quranic capacities and discuss promotion of Quranic cooperation between the two countries.
They visited a number of Malaysian Quranic centers and attended a specialized conference on “Human in Quran from Viewpoint of Contemporary Quran Interpreters”.
They also met with Jakim President Sirajuddin. Iranian Ambassador to Malaysia Valiollah Mohammadi and Cultural Attaché Habib Reza Arzani were also present at the meeting, during which Iran’s proposal on the establishment of a Quranic parliament of the Muslim world was discussed.
They also exchanged views on international Quran competitions, the Tehran Quran exhibition and a Quranic forum scheduled to be organized in the Iranian capital.
Hojat-ol-Islam Hosseini Neyshabouri said at the meeting that Quranic diplomacy is an effective method for establishing international ties based on Quranic achievements.

He also stressed enhancing Islamic fraternity among Quranic affairs officials of Muslim countries and promotion of proximity based on the teachings of the Quran to achieve a united Muslim Ummah.
Sirajuddin, for his part, hailed the development of Quranic cooperation between the two countries.
He also described Iran’s proposal for the establishment of the Muslim world’s Quranic parliament as a creative and unity-promoting idea.
The Iranian delegation also paid a visit to Malaysia's Restu Foundation and learned about its activities in different fields, including Quran printing and teaching calligraphy.

Visits to the International Institute of Islamic Thought and Civilization (ISTAC), the Islamic Arts Museum and the International Islamic University of Malaysia were also parts of the Iranian delegation’s agenda.
