The meeting was held in Iran’s northeastern holy city of Mashhad with the participation of representatives from ten countries.
They included activists in cultural, media, research, propagation and cyberspace fields.
One of the sessions of the gathering discussed Quranic activities during the Arbaeen season.
Director of the Dar-ol-Quran Center affiliated to the Astan (custodianship) of Imam Hussein (AS) holy shrine Sheikh Khayruddin Hadi, secretary and head of the secretariat of Iran’s Committee for Inviting and Dispatching Qaris Seyed Ali Sarabi and Mohammad Taqi Mirzajani, Head of the Quranic Work Group of the Arbaeen Headquarters’ Cultural Committee Seyed Mohammad Mojani, Head of the Dar-ol-Quran Center of the Astan of Imam Reza (AS) holy shrine Mohammad Moqavemi, and Iranian internationally-acclaimed qari Hadi Esfidani were present at the session.
They discussed ways to elevate the level of the programs implemented by the Iranian Quranic delegation sent to Iraq during Arbaeen.
They also offered proposals for the development of joint Quranic activities between Iran and Iraq.
The Arbaeen mourning ceremony is one of the largest religious gatherings in the world.
