Senior Egyptian Qari’s Traditional Quran School Launched near Cairo

IQNA – The Egyptian minister of Awqaf inaugurated the Maktab (traditional Quran memorization school) of the prominent qari Sheikh Ahmed Ahmed Nuaina.

It was launched by Osama al-Azhari at the Ahbab Al-Mustafa Mosque in the city of El Shorouk, near the Egyptian capital of Cairo.

Maktabs are not just places for memorizing the Quran; they are comprehensive educational and training institutions that nurture enlightened and civilized generations, combining faith, knowledge, and ethics in one place, Al-Azhari said in an address to the opening ceremony.

He added that the Maktab has been opened in line with his ministry’s efforts to preserve the teachings of the Quran and Islamic values.

The Awqaf minister congratulated Sheikh Nuaina on the launch of the Maktab and lauded his efforts to serve the Holy Book.

He said Sheikh Nuaina is one of the survivors of the school of renowned Quranic figures in Egypt, a unique Egyptian school with no equal in the world.

Sheikh Nuiana also addressed the opening ceremony, thanking al-Azhari for his initiative to revive traditional Quran schools in Egypt.

He highlighted the good reception of the Maktabs in different governorates of the country and said they continue to serve as places to promote the Quran, morality and knowledge.
