According to the Cultural Attaché of the Iranian Embassy in the African country, the competition was organized by As’hab Kahf Institute for men and the Aisha Sarwar Institute for women.
In recent days, Tanzania also hosted an international Quran competition with the participation of qaris from Lebanon, South Africa, Pakistan, Malaysia, Yemen, Mali, Egypt, Iraq, Afghanistan, Turkey and Morocco.
It was held by the Khadmat al-Quran Institute in the city of Dar es Salaam.
The Khadmat al-Quran Institute is a non-profit Islamic organization dedicated to promoting Quranic culture and knowledge in Tanzania. In recent years, it has organized various Quranic events, including competitions focused on the recitation of the Holy Quran at both national and international levels.
Additionally, the institute has played a significant role in enhancing Tanzania's standing in international Quranic activities by inviting renowned personalities and top international reciters to the country and hosting Quranic programs for them.

For instance, last year, renowned Egyptian qari Mahmoud Shahat Anwar was a guest of the institute during a visit to Tanzania, and his recitations garnered substantial attention from the Muslims in the country.
