Amir Al-Qurra Nat’l Quranic Plan Launched in Iraq

IQNA – The Quran Scientific Assembly, affiliated to the Astan (custodianship) of Hazrat Abbas (AS) holy shrine in Karbala, Iraq, launched the 9th edition of a national Quranic plan.

Entitled Amir Al-Qurra (king of Quran reciters), it involves the participation of talented students from 16 governorates of the Arab country, Muhammad Ridha al-Zubaidi, the executive director of the plan said, al-Kafil reported.

The educational programs of this initiative have begun with a workshop focused on vocal and breathing exercises, preparing the participants to start lessons related to recitation and memorization, he stated.

Al-Zubaidi explained that the Assembly has prepared a comprehensive program for the participants.

The programs start early in the morning and continue until the evening, he noted, adding that they are implemented according to an advanced system that supports the progress of students at various levels.

He went on to say that the initiative will be conducted in three stages and will include competitions, cultural and religious workshops, as well as recreational trips, Quranic gatherings, and educational sessions on the proper recitation of the Holy Quran.
