IQNA – The World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought has issued a call for papers for the 39th International Islamic Unity Conference, which will be held from September 6 to 10, 2025, in Tehran.

The theme of this year’s conference is “The 1500th Birth Anniversary of the Prophet of Mercy (PBUH) and the Islamic Ummah.” Papers submitted to the conference will be indexed in the Islamic World Science Citation Database (ISC).

The conference organizers invite scholars, researchers, and experts to submit abstracts by August 16, 2025, and full papers by September 1, 2025, which is also the deadline for registration.

According to the Forum’s public relations office, this annual event aims to foster dialogue, build unity among Muslims, and encourage scholarly engagement with the challenges and opportunities facing the Islamic world today.

The main topics for paper submission include:

  • The concept of unity and the Islamic Ummah in the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)
  • The Prophet of Mercy and the formation of a unified Islamic identity
  • Contemporary challenges to the unity of the Islamic Ummah
  • The role of Islamic scholars and institutions in preserving unity
  • Economic cooperation and the role of Islamic unity in strengthening resistance economies
  • The Prophet’s (PBUH) teachings on peace, security, dignity, and empowerment of the Ummah
  • Islamic governance and political teachings of the Prophet (PBUH) in the context of unity
  • War and peace in the Prophet’s (PBUH) life: balancing defense and reconciliation
  • Resistance against enemies of Islam in the Prophet’s (PBUH) legacy, with a focus on Gaza

The International Islamic Unity Conference was launched decades ago following a call by the founder of the Islamic Revolution, Imam Khomeini, to designate the “Week of Unity.” Since then, it has grown into a prominent platform for promoting solidarity among Muslim nations.

The conference brings together ministers, religious leaders, academics, and cultural figures from around the world. Past participants have included scholars from countries such as Egypt, Malaysia, the UK, Turkey, Jordan, Pakistan, and many others.
