The competition had begun at the Eram Hotel on Friday, July 25, in two divisions for women and men.
In this round of the event, there are 118 contenders in the women’s section and 179 in the men’s section, competing in categories like Quran recitation, Tarteel, memorization of the entire Quran, memorization of 20 Juzes (parts), memorization of 10 Juzes, Adhan (call to prayer) (for men only), and recitation of supplication.
The winners of this stage will advance to the national stage, which will be held in two stages: preliminary and final.
The western province of Kurdistan is planned to host the finals.
The National Holy Quran Competition of the Islamic Republic of Iran, organized by the Awqaf and Charity Affairs Organization, is the largest Quranic contest in Iran, attracting participants from across the country to compete in various categories.
