Egyptian TV Program Aims to Identify Quranic Talents

IQNA – The “State of (Quran) Recitation” program, the largest talent show in Quran recitation and Tarteel, will go on air on Egyptian satellite channels.

The “State of (Quran) Recitation” program will go on air on Egyptian satellite channels.

 

The program, which features a competition on Quran recitation and Tarteel, is scheduled to be broadcast starting on Friday, November 14, on the satellite channels Al-Hayat, CBC, Al-Nas, Misr Quran Kareem and the “Watch It” platform.

The broadcast time of this program will be 9 pm on Fridays and Saturdays every week, Cairo24 website reported.

The “State of Recitation” program was produced by Egypt’s Ministry of Awqaf in cooperation with the Al-Muttahida Media Services Company, with the aim of identifying Quranic talents and outstanding reciters from different provinces of the country.

The total value of the prizes is 3.5 million Egyptian pounds, with winner of each of the first two categories of recitation and Tarteel receiving 1 million pounds.

The recitation of the entire Quran by the two will be recorded and later broadcast on the “Egypt Quran Karim” network.

The two will also lead the congregational prayers at the Imam Hussein (AS) Mosque in Cairo during the coming month of Ramadan.

The preliminary stages of the competition have been warmly received, with more than 14,000 people from different provinces participating in the Quranic event.

The evaluation of the participants has been carried out in several stages, and 32 people have been selected to compete in the final stages under the supervision of a specialized scientific committee from the Awqaf ministry headed by Awqaf Minister Osama Al-Azhari.

The panel of judges includes senior religious and scientific officials from Egypt and other parts of the Muslim world.
