Macedonia’s Youngest Quran Memorizer Honored

IQNA – A ceremony was held at a mosque in Skopje, North Macedonia’s capital, to honor the country’s youngest Quran memorizer.

North Macedonia’s youngest Quran memorizer was honored during a ceremony in the capital Skopje.

 

North Macedonia, known as the “cradle of the Quran in the heart of the Balkans”, witnessed a celebration at the Sultan Fatih Mosque in Skopje to honor Ayan Ibrahim, the country’s youngest Quran memorizer, the MuslimsAroundTheWorld website reported.

The ceremony was attended by a large number of religious and social figures who praised the efforts of Quran memorizers and teachers in spreading Quranic sciences.

It was held to mark the completion of the memorization of the entire Quran by Ayan Ibrahim, in the presence of his teacher, Sheikh Ibrahim Ibrahim.

Sheikh Yasser Eslami, the preacher of the Sultan Fatih Mosque, welcomed the attendees at the beginning of the ceremony, and Sheikh Ibrahim then spoke on behalf of the family of the young memorizer.

Qanan Ismaili, the Mufti of Skopje, also appreciated the efforts of the Quran teacher and the endeavors of teenager to learn the Quran by heart.

He prayed to God Almighty for success and happiness in this world and the hereafter for Ayan Ibrahim.

Sheikh Shakir Fattahi, another Muslim scholar present at the ceremony, also emphasized that memorizing the Quran is the greatest honor a Muslim can achieve.

He emphasized the importance of supporting and nurturing Quran memorizers so that they can become role models for future generations.

At the end of the ceremony, Ayan Ibrahim was gifted a plaque of appreciation, a laptop, and a badge of honor. A plaque of appreciation was also presented to his teacher in recognition of his efforts.

Cash gifts and an Umrah trip were also presented to this Hafiz and his Quran teacher by the Macedonian Mufti.
