IQNA – Iranian students Sobhan Qari and Amir Hossein Allahverdi came second in the Al-Nour (light) international university Quran competition in Iraq.

Iranian students Sobhan Qari and Amir Hossein Allahverdi came second in the Al-Nour (light) international university Quran competition in Iraq.

 

The competition took place from October 12 to 16 at Al-Ameed University, with the participation of students from 60 universities in Iraq as well as Iran, Tunisia, Nigeria, Lebanon, etc. 

The Scientific Monitoring and Evaluation Service of the Student Activities Department at the Iraqi Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research organized the Quranic event with the support of the Astan (custodianship) of Hazrat Abbas (AS) holy shrine.

Qari and Allahvardi from the University of Tehran participated in this competition in the categories of Quran recitation and memorization, respectively.
