The statement denied any official position taken by Ayatollah Sistani on the 2025 parliamentary elections, Baghdad Today reported.
The office also emphasized that it has not issued any statement or directive in this regard.
It came after a message attributed to Ayatollah Sistani’s office was published on social media, stating that participation in the elections would be left to the discretion of Iraqi citizens.
