IQNA – An Islamic-Christian gathering titled “Together for the family and preserving its values” was held in the city of Bara in central Albania recently.

An Islamic-Christian gathering titled “Together for the family and preserving its values” was held in the city of Bara in central Albania.

 

It was organized under the auspices of the Islamic affairs office of the city.

According to the Muslimsaroundtheworld website, this gathering was held under the supervision of Bulbil Tala, the Mufti of Albania, and Muslim and Christian religious leaders, along with representatives of political and civil institutions, attended with the aim of establishing the position of the family as a common human, religious and national value.

Representatives of the Orthodox Church and the Catholic Church, members of parliament from different political factions, mayors, directors of educational institutions and representatives of civil society attending the event addressed the challenges facing the Albanian family in light of current social and intellectual changes.

In his speech, the Mufti stated that the family is the pillar of the Islamic community and the cradle of values ​​such as love, morality and faith, and any attempt to weaken this sacred institution must be met with collective responsibility and a unified national stance, because neglecting the family is neglecting identity, values ​​and the future.

The participants also emphasized that the traditional Albanian family represents a sacred and inviolable value and it is the duty of society, the state and religious institutions to defend it against any idea or law that seeks to destroy or weaken its position.

In conclusion, the Islamic affairs office of Barat, thanked all the participants for their cooperation and united stance in defending family and moral values, and emphasized continuous efforts to promote family culture and support social cohesion in the Albanian society.
