Tirana, the capital of Albania, hosted the scholarly meeting as part of the 28th Tirana International Book Fair 2025, the muslimsaroundtheworld website reported.
At the meeting, two new books published by Dar al-Ma’rifah al-Islamiya, affiliated with the Islamic Community of Kosovo, were presented to researchers and visitors to the fair.
Ramadan Shkodra, a media figure and head of the Department of Publications and Culture at the Islamic Patriarchate of Albania, gave a review of the book “Witness to the Srebrenica Genocide” by Molodiin Hrinić.
He explained that the work is a first-hand account of a genocide survivor who conveys painful memories of the July 1995 tragedy to readers, making it an important historical and humanitarian document.
University Professor Sadek Mehmet spoke about the book “Interest in Islam in the Balkans” by Anton Minkov and emphasized that this book shows the need for a deep review of inherited thought patterns and is considered an important epistemological work in Balkan studies.
The program attracted wide attention from visitors to the book fair, who were closely acquainted with the content and scientific value of the two books.
It also demonstrated the prominent role of Dar al-Ma’rifah al-Islamiya in promoting scientific research and religious culture in the region.
