Hojat-ol-Islam Mohammad Mehdi Imanipour, who has traveled to Thailand to participate in religious talks, met with the head and members of the Board of Trustees of the Islamic Center of Thailand and the Friday prayer leader of Bangkok while attending Friday prayers and discussed various issues in the Islamic world.
He emphasized that Muslims in every part of the world must feel responsible and sensitive to the issues and concerns of the Islamic Ummah.
He added that in the face of the organized wave of Islamophobia, the unity of Muslims is not a choice, but a strategic necessity.
“Unity will be the main key to neutralizing the propaganda of opponents and explaining the true discourse of Islam on a global level.”
Referring to the progress of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Hojat-ol-Islam Imanipour said, “After the victory of the Islamic Revolution, the Islamic Republic of Iran embarked on a path whose goal was not merely political changes, but rather redefining the structure of national identity on religious, justice-seeking, and popular foundations.”
He added, “Thanks to the blessed efforts of the noble people of Iran and relying on the fundamental ideas of the late Imam Khomeini (RA) and the wise guidance of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, the Islamic Republic of Iran has been able to achieve great achievements on the world stage that make every observer admire. These remarkable successes, which were manifested by holding the first Imam Khomeini (RA) World Award, are rooted in a single truth: the high name of Islam and the sacred unity of the Iranian nation.”
He also referred to the proposal of the Islamic Republic of Iran to choose the 1,500th anniversary of the birth of the Holy Prophet (PBUH), as the Year of the Prophet of Mercy (PBUH) in the Organization of the Islamic Cooperation, and mentioned some programs implemented in Iran and some Islamic countries in this regard.
He emphasized that today, more than ever, the attention of the Islamic world should be focused on the lofty and pivotal position of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) as his character and teachings are the guardian of morality and a roadmap for unity for all Muslims.
Elsewhere in his remarks, the ICRO chief referred to the issue of Gaza and Palestine and said that throughout the entire occupation period, the oppressed Palestinian people have been subjected to relentless oppression and deep suffering resulting from the actions of the Zionist regime and the support of global arrogance.
“The oppression of this heroic nation should never be forgotten as forgetting it would mean giving in to oppression and despair.”

He continued, “The main responsibility of the Islamic Ummah in every corner of the world is to stand by the oppressed Palestinian people and help their brothers and sisters in Gaza. This is a religious, human and historical duty. Just as the founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Imam Khomeini (RA), one of the most important contemporary leaders, always emphasized the unconditional defense of the Palestinian people, we are also obliged to continue his path.”
Hojat-ol-Islam Imanipour emphasized, “Our determination must remain steadfast and strong for the liberation of the holy city of al-Quds and the liberation of the oppressed Palestinian people from this historical suffering. This struggle is not just a nation’s battle; it is also a test of the level of adherence of the entire Islamic world to the principles of justice and righteousness.”
