IQNA – Following a deadly attack that struck a wedding celebration in Gaza, a prominent US Muslim civil rights group called on the international community to intervene.

Destruction resulting from Israeli attacks in Gaza

The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), on Saturday condemned Israel’s massacre of at least six people, including a woman, at a Gaza wedding, marking yet another violation of the so-called “ceasefire,” and called on US President Donald Trump and Muslim-majority nations that guaranteed the ceasefire to take action.

One report indicated that the Israeli regime killed a baby in that attack.

Israel has slaughtered almost 400 Gazans during the “ceasefire.” Israeli forces killed more than 70,000 people, mostly women and children, in Gaza since October 2023. It is likely the true death toll is much higher.

In a statement, Washington, D.C., based CAIR said:

“Bombing a wedding celebration is an act of brutality that exposes the complete meaninglessness of the Israeli occupation’s so-called ‘ceasefire.’ The deliberate killing of civilians underscores the urgent need for President Trump and the Arab Muslim nations that guaranteed the ceasefire to take action.

“There can be no genuine ceasefire while the Israeli occupation continues to murder people across Gaza with impunity. Our government and the international community must stop enabling these atrocities and demand an immediate end to all attacks, as well as accountability for these war crimes.”

Yesterday, CAIR urged all Americans to call on Congress to demand that the Israeli government immediately stop blocking the entry of winter shelters and humanitarian aid into Gaza, as children freeze to death amid worsening winter conditions and Israel’s blockade of aid.
