Muslim World Scholars Say Trump, Netanyahu Are Muharib

IQNA – More than 100 scholars and elites of the Muslim world have issued a statement in which they have reiterated support for the Islamic Republic of Iran and described the US president and the Israeli premier as Muharib (enemy of God).

According to the public relations office of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought, the statement, issued in Arabic, English and Persian, highlighted a few points based on the teachings of the Holy Quran, the Sunnah of the Holy Prophet (PBUH), the laws of Islamic Fiqh (jurisprudence) and the principles of international law.

It condemned US and Israeli threats against Iran and the Leader of the Islamic Revolution and said US President Donald Trump and Israeli regime prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu are Muharib in accordance to Verse 33 of Surah Al-Ma’idah.

The scholars condemned the so-called ultimatum given by the US and the Zionist regime to Iran and said giving ultimatums and threatening nations are a clear example of aggression and have no legal and rational validity.

The statement also described Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei as the leader of the front of Islamic dignity and said any threat against the revered figure is considered enmity with the front of Islamic dignity.

It called on the Muslim world nations, media, scholars and elites to take a clear, united and responsible stance in support of the Iranian nation and the front of Islamic dignity.

Trumps threats against Iran came after violent rioters favoring monarchy vandalized public and private properties in a number of cities across Iran last week, killing dozens of ordinary people and security forces and inflicting injuries on others.

People across Iran mobilized on January 12 to denounce the riots and acts of terrorism, reaffirming their commitment to the Islamic Revolution and condemning those responsible for disrupting national order.

Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei has lauded the Iranian nation for the tremendous rallies and the historic day that they created on January 12.
