Imam Mosque in Isfahan, Masterpiece of Iranian, Islamic Architecture

TEHRAN (IQNA) – The Imam Mosque in Isfahan, Iran, is regarded as one of the masterpieces of Iranian architecture.


Standing in south side of Naghsh-e Jahan Square, it was built during the Safavid period, ordered by the Shah Abbas.

It is registered, along with the Naghsh-e Jahan Square, as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
