History, Beauty in Sheikh Nabhan Mosque in Ahvaz
TEHRAN (IQNA) – The Sheikh Nabhan Mosque in Ahvaz, capital of Iran’s southwestern province of Khuzestan, is an old mosque build near the Karun River.
Dating back to three centuries ago, it was built at the order of Sheikh Nabhan, the ruler of Ahvaz at the time.
It is also known as Ameri Mosque after someone named Haj Ahmad Ameri built a Husseiniya (Shia religious center) next to it.
