4000 Grassroots Quranic Schools

Head of the Dar-ol-Quran Karim Organization said there are some 4000 grassroots Quranic schools in the country.
Speaking at a gathering of Islamic Development Organization’s (IDO)scholars in Mashhad, Mehdi Qarasheikhlu added that the schools are run under the supervision of the organization.
He said the organization most extensive network of grassroots Quranic institutes in the country, overseeing the activities of 1700 Quranic institutes and 2250 rural Quran houses.
According to Qarasheikhlu, the organization drafted and approved a strategic charter two years ago that illustrates the future perspective of its activities.
He said the IDO has been the frontrunner in Quranic activities with 3 decades of experience in the field.
Pointing to the activities of the Dar-ol-Quran Karim Organization, which is affiliated to the Islamic Development Organization, he said since it was founded 10 years ago, the Dar-ol-Quran Karim has held specialized and general Quranic courses from which some 6 million individuals benefited.
Qarasheikhlu added that Dar-ol-Quran Karim is also tasked with issuing permission for printing the Quran, noting that it has issued permission for printing 50 million copies of the Holy Book.
