TEHRAN (IQNA) – The 2nd edition of an international forum on Islamic and Arabic manuscripts and heritage will be organized in Cairo, Egypt, on February 22 and 23.

According to elbalad.news, the Center for Studies of Arabic Manuscripts will hold the program in cooperation with Manuscripts Research Center of Egypt’s Suez University and the Center for Revival of Scientific Heritage of Baghdad University.

The heritage left by the ancestors, necessary measures for identification, investigation and listing the manuscripts, status of the Islamic Arabic heritage and the translation of the heritage into Arabic, difference between the manuscripts and new handwritten works, media and the heritage and the influence of the modern world and technologies on the heritage will be the themes to be investigated at the forum.

Cairo’s Center for Manuscript Studies will also hold a three-day course on "introduction of Arabic manuscripts" on the sidelines of the forum.

Participants will get acquainted with the cultural aspects of the Islamic and Arabic heritage, the history and geography of the heritage and the methods of preservation and revival of the heritage.
