According to Moheet website, the winners will be awarded during a ceremony which is planned in line with series of meetings on Islamic thought held at “Ah-Husain” Mosque in Cairo.
Mahmoud Hamdi Zaqzouq said: “this is the first time a Quran competition was held for mentally challenged in the world of Islam.”
“Participants competed in three categories of memorization of the entire holy Quran, memorization of 15 Juzes (parts) and memorization of one Juz of the Holy Book.”
The competition was held at Egypt’s Awqaf Ministry and a total cash prize of 60000 Egyptian Liras will be awarded to winners of first and second positions in each category.
