Turkey to Hold Quran Contest for Women

--Turkey plans to launch Quran recitation competition for women on March 11, in Istanbul.
It will be arranged by Istanbul’s Quran Research and Education Institute in association with the Society of Wise Woman.

This is according to Michaeel Gurel, head of the center, who told IQNA that the event will pursue the objective of promoting the level of women’s Quran teachings especially in the field of recitation.

He noted: “Expert women will make up the jury panel and the seven top titles will be awarded”.

Istanbul’s Quran Research and Education Institute is the first official Quran center for Turkish Shia and is supported by Al-Mustafa International University.
