Mohammad Reza Mosayebzadeh, who is also an advisor to the Minister of Education, made the remark at a brainstorming session of Quranic teachers in East Azerbaijan province earlier this week.
“We must appreciate this created atmosphere (in Quranic education) and move forward with each other’s help,” he added.
Referring to the Quranic missions of the Ministry of Education and the General Quran Education Commission, he said one of the important tasks of the commission is to create coordination and cohesion between all agencies and institutions that are active in the field of Quranic education.
Such coordination will ensure that Quranic education is not limited to the Education Ministry alone, but includes all government and public sectors, he stated.
Mosayebzadeh also highlighted the Minister of Education’s emphasis on prioritizing the discussion of prayer and the Quran at all levels, and noted that the four major tasks assigned to this ministry in the Seventh Development Plan are: empowering teachers, focusing on memorizing the Quran, establishing Quran schools, and promoting Quranic literacy among educators.
