Role of Pilgrimage in Curbing Social Harms
The holy city of Mashhad is to host a national conference on the role of pilgrimage in reduction of social harms.
This is according to Seyyed Javad Jafari, secretary of Imam Reza (AS) International Festival, who said the conference will be held as part of the festival’s programs.
He said the conference is organized by Khroasan Razavi province’s welfare department on September 24 to discuss how pilgrimage can help to reduce social harms.
Promoting and the Razavi culture and fostering the culture of pilgrimage are among the objectives of the conference, Mr. Jafari noted.
He said the deadline for submitting papers to the secretariat of the conference is August 15, adding that authors of the best papers will be awarded cash prizes and pilgrimage packages.
