The copy, one of the smallest in the world, is a little more than 2 centimeters in length and was caligraphed during the Ottoman era, according to Wito website.
It is 2 by 2 by 2.5 centimeters and has a golden cover.
Though very small, the copy contains all the Surahs (chapters) of the Holy Quran.
The owner, Ahmed Qassem, lives in Asyut, east of Egypt, and has inherited it from his father.
He says he has no intention of selling the copy.
