TEHRAN (IQNA) – The president of Al-Mustafa International University said promoting peaceful coexistence, respect for different views and moderation are the main approaches of the university.

Al-Mustafa University chief holds talks with Finnish envoy to Iran

 

Hojat-ol-Islam Ali Abbasi made the remark in a Thursday meeting with Finland’s Ambassador to Iran Kari Kahilodoto, who was visiting the holy city of Qom.

He said the students of Al-Mustafa International University are the best cultural ambassadors between Iran and other countries and flag-bearers of peace and friendship.

Hojat-ol-Islam Abbasi added that the students have a brotherly and friendly relations and learn a multicultural life at the university.

The university makes efforts to train students in a spirit of friendship and peaceful coexistence, he stated.

The cleric added that followers of different Islamic schools of thought and even adherents to other faiths study at the university.

The Finnish envoy, for his part, hailed the presence of students from Finland at Al-Mustafa University.

Kahilodoto said the Islamic community in his country comprises two main groups: those who settled in Finland years ago and those have moved there in recent years.

There are many Muslim students studying in Finnish universities, he noted.

Kahilodoto added that Helsinki welcomes cooperation between Finnish universities with Iranian academic centers, especially Al-Mustafa University.

Al-Mustafa International University is a religious and Islamic university established to expand and introduce Islamic and religious teachings in the world through modern facilities and technologies.

It is a scholarly and educational institution that like other such institutions strives to develop thought and help the society and humanity.

It is known internationally and has trained many prominent scholars and researchers.
