Palestinian Cause to Remain Muslim World’s Number One Issue: Al-Azhar
The “Al-Quds and Dialogue” Committee of Al-Azhar’s Islamic Studies Center in a statement strongly condemned Israeli settlers’ storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque compound in Al-Quds under protection of Zionist forces, Al-Wafd News reported.
It also rapped provocative marches by settlers through the streets of Al-Khalil (Hebron) that spread to streets near the Ibrahimi Mosque on Monday.
The committee reiterated that Arab and Muslim people will never forget the occupation of their lands by the Zionists and that the cause of Palestine will continue to be the number one issue for them.
It went on to say that Zionist regime’s policy of attempting to alter the Arab and Islamic identity of Al-Quds will get nowhere.
The committee further called on world leaders to adopt decisive stances in condemnation of terrorist and racist measures taken against the defenseless people of Palestine.
