The competitions will be held in the second semester of the 2022-2023 school year, the ministry said, according to El-Balad News website.
In the weekly contests, questions are given to the students every Sunday and they have until Wednesday to submit their answers online.
Winners will be announced the next week and three Quranic centers with the most accurate answers will also be selected as the top centers.
The winners and managers of top centers will receive cash prizes and certificates of honor, the ministry said.
In other news, the Awqaf Ministry of Egypt said it will organize a Quranic circle at the Imam Hussein (AS) Mosque in the capital Cairo with the participation of senior qaris.
The top Quran reciters attending the Quranic program will include Sheikh Ahmed Ahmed Nuaina, Sheikh Mahmoud Muhammad al-Khisht, Sheikh Taha al-Numani, Sheikh Yasir al-Shraqawi, Sheikh Ahmed Iwaz Abu Fuyuz, Sheikh Ahmed Tamim al-Maraqi, and Sheikh Yusuf Halawa, it added.
