TEHRAN (IQNA) – The nights of the blessed month of Ramadan are the best opportunity for one to pray to God and that is why recommended salats have more Thawab (reward) and are more emphasized in this holy month.

Saying prayers

These prayers are not Wajib (obligatory) but they help one to grow in spirituality. Some of these recommended prayers have been mentioned in the book “Kanz al-Maram fi Amal Shahr al-Siyam”.

It has been recommended that Muslims say 1,000 rak’ats (single iterations of prescribed movements and supplications) of prayers during the nights of Ramadan.

According to Sheikh al-Tusi in the book “Misbah al-Mujtahid”, this is how to perform the Salat:

From the first to the 20th night, 20 Rak’ats (10 two-Rak’at salats) each night.

From the 21st to the last might, 30 Rak’ats (15 two-Rak’at salats) each night.

On the Nights of Qadr (19th, 21st and 23rd of Ramadan) 100 Rak’ats (50 two-Rak’at salats) each night.

Recommended Salats on Fridays of Ramadan

On the Fridays of the holy month, Muslims are recommended to say a 1-Rak’at Salat in the following way:

1- Four Rak’ats of Salat of Amir al-Muminin (AS), each including a Surah Al-Fatiha, 50 times Surah Al-Ikhlas and a number of supplications.

2- Then two Rak’ats of Salat of Hazrat Zahra (SA), the first of which includes one Surah Al-Fatiha and 100 times Surah Al-Qadr and the second Rak’at includes one Surah Al-Fatiha and 100 times Surah Al-IKhlas as well as Tasbihat of Hazrat Zahra (SA).

3- Four Rak’ats of Salat of Jafar Tayyar: It has four Rak’ats, divided into two parts 2 x 2 Rak’ats. Recite each part exactly like the Fajr Salat, with the following adjustments:

First Rak’at: After recitation of Surah Al-Fatiha, recite Surah Al- Zilzaal once

Second Rak’at: After recitation of Surah AL-Fatiha, recite Surah Al-Aadiyat once

Third Rak’at: After recitation of Surah Al-Fatiha, recite Surah An-Nasr once

Fourth Rak’at: After recitation of Surah Al-Fatiha, recite Surah Al-Ikhlaas once.
