Resistance Best Strategy for Liberation of Palestine: Hamas
In a statement released on the occasion of the 18th anniversary of liberation of the Gaza Strip, Hamas said it was the comprehensive strategy of resistance that forced the Zionists out of the coastal enclave.
Today, too, resistance can help Palestinians foil all of the enemy’s plots, including those aimed at judaization of Al-Quds, the movement stressed.
The statement added that the Palestinian nation will remain steadfast on the path of resistance and they will make the enemy taste the bitter taste of defeat.
It also underlined that escalation of the Zionist regime’s crimes in the holy city of al-Quds and the West Bank will not give legitimacy to the occupation regime.
Hamas further slammed those who have remained silent on the cruel blockade of the Gaza Strip, saying they are complicit in the continuation of the siege that has affected more than two million people living in the coastal enclave.
The resistance group also thanked the countries and organizations that have contributed to efforts aimed at reducing the sufferings of the people of the Gaza Strip.
The Israeli regime occupied the enclave and the nearby Palestinian territory of the West Bank during a heavily-Western-backed war in 1967.
The regime withdrew its forces from Gaza in 2005, but has been keeping the territory under an all-out land, aerial, and naval blockade that has turned it into the world's largest open-air prison.
