Al-Aqsa Flood Operation An All-Out Victory for Resistance: Islamic Jihad
This is according to Abu Samir Musa, a representative of the Islamic Jihad movement in Lebanon, who, in an interview with IQNA, also described the operation as an utter defeat for the Israeli regime.
He said the Al-Aqsa Flood Operation was a miracle and a defeat for Israeli that will have many consequences for the occupation regime.
The operation led to the total collapse of the security system used to protect illegal settlements around the Gaza Strip and an intelligence fiasco for the Zionists who failed to predict such an attack, he stated.
Musa also said it was a great security achievement for the resistance to be able to plan and prepare for an operation with such a large scale in full secrecy.
The resistance also managed to define new equations for deterrence by putting the entire occupied territories within the range of its missiles, he added.
He went on to say that the Al-Aqsa Flood Operation shocked all of the Zionist regime’s systems and the killing spree that the occupation has launched in Gaza is the result of this great defeat.
According to Musa, the Zionist regime is incapable of launching a ground invasion of the Gaza Strip and the resistance is ready to confront it.
Elsewhere in his remarks, he underscored the good ties, solidarity and cooperation among Palestinian resistance groups, including Hamas and Islamic Jihad.
They all cooperate for the goal of liberation of Palestine and Al-Aqsa Mosque and defending Palestinians’ freedom, he underlined.
The Palestinian Hamas resistance group waged Al-Aqsa Flood Operation against Israel on Saturday in response to Israel’s continued atrocities and its acts of desecration against al-Aqsa Mosque.
Hamas’ Saturday operation included missile attacks on Israeli cities and ground assaults on settlements near Gaza. That operation plus retaliatory missile strikes by Palestinian resistance groups have so far left more than 1,200 Israelis dead.
Hamas has now called for mobilization of the Arab and Islamic world on Friday in support of Gaza, describing it as a day of “heroism and sacrifice.”
“This is an appeal to our Palestinian people and the masses of the Arab and Islamic world and people of the free world,” Hamas said on Tuesday. “We are announcing the general mobilization on Friday in order to support al-Quds, al-Aqsa and the struggling Gaza.”
