Supporting Gaza A Religious Duty: Bangladeshi Quranic Official

DHAKA (IQNA) – A Quranic official in Bangladesh described supporting the oppressed people of Palestine, including the Gaza Strip, as a religious duty.

A number of Bangladeshi Quranic figures visit Iranian Cultural Center in Dhaka

 

This is an issue related to all Muslims and the entire Muslim world, Mulana Saad Saifullah Madani, secretary general of the International Quran Recitation Institute of Bangladesh, said.

He made the remark during a visit to the Iranian Cultural Center in the Bangladeshi capital of Dhaka.

Madani condemned the Israeli regime’s atrocities in Palestine, especially the massacre of people in the Gaza Strip and said, “In accordance with our human and religious duty, we have supported and will continue to support the oppressed people of Gaza and Palestine.”

The Israeli regime has been pounding the Gaza Strip for over three weeks.

The Israeli attacks have so far claimed the lives of more than 8,600 Palestinians.

The most recent of the Israeli attacks targeted the Jabaliya refugee camp in Gaza, killing and injuring at least 400 Palestinians, mostly women and children.

Elsewhere in his remarks, Madani presented a report on the activities of the International Quran Recitation Institute of Bangladesh, saying it organizes various programs in the field of Quran education and also holds Quran competitions.

He added that it cooperates with a number of countries in organizing Quran contests.

Madani also said the institute is ready to host top Iranian qaris in Bangladesh for reciting the Quran on different occasions.
