Int’l Quran Recitation Competition Announced by Hazrat Abbas Holy Shrine

IQNA – Hazrat Abbas (AS) Holy Shrine in Iraq’s Karbala has announced its big Quranic event, “Al-Ameed International Prize for Quran Recitation,” which will be held as a television competition open to reciters from all countries.

 

The competition aims to promote the Quran and its recitation and to showcase the talents and skills of the participants.

According to an announcement provided to IQNA, those who wish to participate in the competition must follow these general conditions:

  • Send a video of their recitation, choosing any Quranic verses, with a maximum duration of three minutes.
  • The video size should not exceed 150 mb.
  • The video should be accompanied by the following information: the participant’s name as it appears on their passport, country, age, a clear passport photo, and an official personal photo.
  • The video should be free of any sound or visual effects, otherwise the participant will be disqualified.
  • The video should be new and unedited, and the participant should mention their name at the beginning.
  • The camera should be placed no more than 2 meters away from the participant, and the shooting should be horizontal with good lighting.
  • Participants under 18 can bring one accompanying person if they are accepted.

To register for the competition, participants should send their videos and required information to the competition’s account on the Telegram app. If they face any problem using Telegram, they can message the support WhatsApp account at the same number: +9647760005311.

The registration period starts on February 3, 2024 and ends on February 16, 2024. The results of the accepted participants will be announced on February 17, 2024. The meetings with the accepted participants will start on March 2, 2024.
