IQNA – A rally was held in Chiang Mai, northern Thailand, on Sunday to denounce the Israeli regime’s crimes and voice support for the oppressed people of Gaza.

A protest rally held in Thailand against the Israeli atrocities in Gaza

A number of Thai peace activists and foreign tourists visiting the city attended the protest rally.

They called for an end to the Israeli atrocities in the Gaza Strip and warned against a planned ground attack on the city of Rafah in southern Gaza.

They stressed that such an attack by the Zionist regime will put the lives of some 2 million Palestinians in danger.

Ethan Punyanuch, one of the organizers, addressed the rally, criticizing the media and people of power for failing to support the people of Gaza.

All they care about is just trying to cover up the crimes being committed by their ally, Israel, she lamented.

During the protest rally, an exhibition was also mounted featuring photos depicting the Israeli crimes and atrocities in Gaza.

The Israeli regime launched a genocidal war on the Gaza Strip on Oct. 7, killing at least 30,410 Palestinians, mostly women and children, and injuring 71,700 others.

There has also been mass destruction, displacement and conditions for a famine as a result of the Israeli regime's war and siege on the coastal enclave.
