Quran Giving Gaza People Power of Jihad, Resistance: Senior IRGC Commander

IQNA – The people of Gaza have been able to resist the Zionist oppression and aggression thanks to their reliance on the teachings of the Holy Quran, a senior IRGC commander said.

Addressing a Quran recitation session in Tehran on Sunday evening, General Hassan Hassanzadeh, commander of the Muhammad Rasullullah Division of the IRGC in Tehran, added that their profound acquaintance with the Holy Quran has given the people of Gaza the spirit of Jihad and resistance. 

He said the acquaintance of the people of Gaza with the Quran is amazing as many of them are memorizers and reciters of the Quran.

This gives them the ability to stand up against Kufr, arrogance and oppression, he emphasized.

Elsewhere in his remarks, General Hassanzadeh referred to the Al-Aqsa Flood Operation launched by the Gaza resistance forces against Israel on October 7, 2023, and said the operation shattered the false image of the power of the world arrogance and the Zionist regime.

The axis of resistance in the region has humiliated the Israeli regime and today, the regime is on the verge of collapse militarily, politically, and socially, he stated.

The Zionist regime has made wrong decisions and will soon regret those decisions, the IRGC commander went on to say.

The Al-Aqsa Flood Operation was carried out by the Hamas resistance movement against Israel on October 7 in response to the Israeli atrocities in occupied territories and its violations of the sanctity of Al-Aqsa Mosque.

It included missile attacks on occupied cities and ground assaults on settlements near Gaza. That operation plus retaliatory missile strikes by Palestinian resistance groups left hundreds of Israelis dead.
