IQNA – A forum titled “Palestinian Resistance and Media” was held at the Ittila’at Institute in Tehran where speakers underscored the role of the media in shedding light on the Israeli regime’s crimes against Palestinians.

Forum in Tehran discussed Palestinian resistance and media

Palestinian thinker and author Munir Shafiq and a number of political, media and cultural experts attended the forum on Saturday.

Abbas Khameyar, the cultural and social deputy of the University of Religions and Denominations, was one of the speakers who said that thanks to the Al-Aqsa Flood Operation, which the Palestinian resistance forces carried out against the Zionist regime, the Israeli crimes were exposed to the world.

Before that, the Zionists were used to play innocent but since the Al-Aqsa Flood Operation, many of their crimes have been recorded on the scene thanks to the readiness of the resistance media, he said.

Khameyar noted that the media of the resistance front such as Al-Alam, Al-Mayadeen, Al-Ahed, and Al-Manar played a major role in raising awareness about the Israeli atrocities.

Next, Middle East Expert Mohammad Ali Muhtadi took the podium, saying that since the Al-Aqsa Flood Operation, the Zionist regime has faced intelligence and military defeat and has not been able to make up for this defeat.

Today, Israel’s true face has been revealed while it used to hide its cruel and ugly face for years, he said.

He also stressed that the martyrdom of thousands of Palestinians in the Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip will not be in vain but their blood will change regional and international equations.

Munir Shafiq, in his address, highlighted the failure of the Zionist regime to defeat the Hamas resistance movement despite months of brutal military attacks on Gaza.

He said while many had expected to see Israel conquering Gaza in just a week, the preparedness of the Gaza resistance forces and leadership prevented it.

He also described the resistance’s acceptance of a recent ceasefire proposal as a sign of its power and said whether the enemy accepts or rejects the proposal, it would mean the enemy’s defeat.

Hamas launched the Al-Aqsa Flood Operation against Israel on October 7 in response to the Israeli atrocities in occupied territories and its violations of the sanctity of Al-Aqsa Mosque.

It included missile attacks on occupied cities and ground assaults on settlements near Gaza. That operation plus retaliatory missile strikes by Palestinian resistance groups left hundreds of Israelis dead.
